Sprouting seeds are so quick and easy, and you can grow them at any time of the year.
They also taste delicious.
Why not add them to your salads or sandwiches?
Ask an adult to help you find or buy these things:
First, put a tablespoon of seeds into a sieve and rinse them well in cold water.
Then, soak them overnight in a bowl of cold water.
Now, wet the muslin cloth and put it at the bottom of the pot and over the hole so that your seeds won't fall out.
Next, take away any broken or damaged seeds and sprinkle the rest on top of the muslin cloth in the pot.
Cover the pot with a plate.
Once the sprouts begin to show, remove the plate and cover the pot with a piece of cling film.
Put the pot near a window to let light come in, but make sure it's not direct sunlight.
Continue to water your seeds once a day.
Your sprouts should be ready to eat in four to six days, depending on the type of sprout.
Put them in a salad to make it colourful and crunchy!
Store them in an airtight container in your fridge for up to a week.
A sprout appears when a seed starts growing.
Sprouts can grow from the seeds of vegetables, grains and beans.
They are a good source of beta-carotene, which is good for your eyes, and Vitamin C which is good for your skin.
