First, fill a large pot with compost.
Push four canes into the compost and tie them together at the top to make a teepee structure.
This will support the plants as they grow bigger.
Then, push the seeds about 5cm deep into the compost.
Plant one on each side of a cane.
Cover them with compost and water them. Keep your plants in a sunny, sheltered place.
As the plants grow, wind each seedling around its nearest cane.
It will continue to grow, climbing up the cane
If you leave the pot in the garden or balcony, make sure you rub off any aphids you see with your fingers.
Water the plants a little every day.
Aphids are tiny green insects that feed on the juice in plants, taking away important nutrients.
Pick your beans when they are long but still young and tender.
Pick them often so that other beans will grow.
