Have an animal party and have a wild time making some of my delicious recipes.

They are so easy to make, you'll need very little adult help.

Be careful using cocktail sticks as they are sharp!

Ingredients (serves 4):

1 wholemeal bagel

For the tuna topping:

  • 200g tuna, canned in water, drained
  • 1 tablespoon tomato purée
  • 2 tablespoons low-fat plain yoghurt
  • 2 spring onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sweetcorn, canned or frozen

For the egg topping:

  • 2 hard-boiled eggs
  • 2 tablespoons reduced-fat mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons cress

To decorate:

  • 2 stuffed olives
  • 1 sliced red pepper
  • snipped chives

Equipment:

  • knife
  • chopping board
  • 2 mixing bowls
  • fork
  • plate

What to do:

Cut the bagel in half, then cut each piece in two to make arch shapes.

Trim the ends of two of the pieces to make them pointy.

These will be the head and tail of your snake.

In separate mixing bowls, mix the ingredients for the tuna and egg toppings.

Put the bagel slices on a plate and make a snake shape.

With a fork, spread the tuna topping on the head and third slice, and the egg topping on the second slice and tail.

Make the snake's eyes from olives, and its tongue from red pepper.

Make its skin pattern from snipped chives.

Enjoy your slithering snake!
